HUMBOLDT – Thanksgiving celebrations and other events have been scheduled for the annual holiday. This list may expand as further announcements roll in.

Vegan Society of Humboldt

Join the Vegan Society of Humboldt for the annual Thanksliving Potluck Celebration on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Humboldt Area Foundation in Eureka.

Attendees should bring to share their favorite holiday inspired vegan main dish, side dish, dessert, or appetizer that will serve eight to 10 people, along with their own place setting, and serving ware.

This event is free and open to the public, but a donation of $2 to $5 is suggested to cover the room rental expense.

Vegan means no animal products, meat, chicken, dairy, eggs, animal-derived ingredients or honey.

Arcata House/Arcata Vets Hall

Arcata House and the Arcata Veterans Hall are joining forces for Third Annual Harvest Feast on Thursday, Nov. 22. at 11:30 a.m. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Arcata House Partnership has agreed to prepare and cook 30 turkeys. Volunteers are sought to help prepare and cook the turkeys.

Thanksgiving Marsh Meander

Join Friends of the Arcata Marsh for its 19th annual Thanksgiving morning meander on Thursday, Nov. 22. Jane Wilson will lead a 90-minute walk around the Marsh beginning at 10 a.m. Meet on the porch of the Interpretive Center on South G Street (building will be closed for the holiday).
