As a result of their investigation, POP detectives, supplemented by patrol officers, conducted a prostitution sting last night (09.18.13) at a local motel.
Prostitution has brought a variety of criminal activity into our community. Armed robberies and weapon possession cases have been attributed to prostitutes and suspected pimps at our local motels.
The two victims informed the three men they did not have any marijuana for sale. The suspects then offered to trade the services of a prostitute in exchange for marijuana. Again the victims declined.
The C.R.U. deputies utilized the Blue Lake Casino Hotel after setting up meetings the prostitutes which they arranged on line.
During the approximately eight-hour operation, POP and CRU investigators arrested three female suspects for solicitation/facilitation of prostitution after responding to the “escorts’” webpage ads for “in-call services” (where the prostitute sets the location where they will meet to trade money for sex).
