Once again however, 3,000 riders will be cycling through Santa Cruz, King City, Paso Robles, Santa Maria, Lompoc, Ventura, and finishing the ride in L.A. and I will be with them.
Volunteer outside of your comfort zone and do something totally different!!! Get involved with our community, get politically active, do something for the envirorment, help out with kids causes, animals, maybe do something about health and fitness, the arts, homelessness, or help me with my next mission of getting safer places to bike – ESPECIALLY along the 101 corridor!
This project was so inspiring it spawned an idea in all of us. Why not bring this kind of event to Humboldt?
Making a deal with the Devil can be tempting, particularly when we are desperate, but such deals never seem to work out as intended. I learned this the hard way recently.
I’m pedaling my feet, I’m switching gears, I’m staying upright on two wheels, and I’m keeping up with the boyz.. OK, this is fun.
Thankfully my real boss, Bryan Plumley, is understanding about these things, in fact I probably wouldn’t have been able to do any of this if he wasn’t such a great boss (in reality he realizes that keeping me busy also keeps me out of his hair).
