HUMBOLDT – A storm is rolling in and tonight there is a 100 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is predicted tonight.
Showers will continue through Friday, with the odds dropping to 40 percent during the day on Saturday. Sunday may be sunny, with another storm-front hitting the area Monday and promising much-needed rain.
Since the weather season began July 1, the NWS at Woodley Island in Eureka has measured 24.31 inches of rain as of Wednesday. Normal for this time of the year is 27.49 inches.
There’s also a possibility of snow in the mountain, although levels will be at about 3,500 feet, meaning the passes on State Highway 299 won’t see any of the white stuff.
