Mostly sunny today, but rainy the rest of the week

HUMBOLDT – After the fog lifts this morning, it will be mostly sunny with a gentle wind and a high near 62 degrees.

For the rest of the week, the National Weather Service is forecasting rain. On Tuesday, there is a 60 percent chance of rain after 11 a.m. with a high temperature of 69 degrees. Tuesday night the odds of rain are 100 percent, although the amount of precipitation is expected to be less than a 10th of an inch.

Rain is expected to continue through the week, although the forecast is iffy for each day.

As of Sunday, the NWS had measured 7.09 inches of rain at Woodley Island since the weather season began on July 1. Last year at the same time the NWS measured 3.26 inches. Normal is 2.73 inches.

Sunset tonight is at 6:20 p.m. Sunrise Tuesday is at 7:42 a.m.
