McKHalloween Parade this Saturday

McKINLEYVILLE – In celebration of Halloween, McKinleyville Shopping Center holds its 29th Annual Halloween Costume Parade on Saturday, Oct. 26 starting at 11 a.m.

Children are invited to visit the McKinleyville Shopping Center for a safe and entertaining trick-or-treating experience. This free community event is open to all children and there will be lots of free candy and Halloween treats given out by the merchants. Children should meet by the small kiosk in the parking lot at the Shopping Center before 11 a.m. to join in the fun, as the parade starts at 11 a.m. for all participants.

Volunteer Sheriff’s Citizens on Patrol (SCOP) officers will be on hand to manage traffic and provide a safe environment for the trick-or-treat participants. SCOP is currently looking for more volunteers for their important community service program. For more information about volunteering, contact SCOP Captain Jorgensen at (707) 268-2536.
