LETTER: McK Land Trust receives $9,500 for Cha-GAH-Cho trails

Dear Editor,

The McKinleyville Land Trust (MLT) would like to thank Coast Central Credit Union for its generous grant of $9,500 to support a trails project. These funds will help us build trails and signage for our property near the Mill Creek Marketplace, Chah-GAH-Cho (CGC). This grant will cover about one-third of the cost of these improvements.

We look forward to making CGC more accessible to the community, a safer and more welcoming place for recreation, and a secure natural habitat for native plants and animals.

The support of community organizations such as Coast Central CU is essential to non-profits such as the Land Trust, and will help make McKinleyville a better place.

Thank you,

Nancy Correll,

Board of Directors

Fantastic news. Way to go McKinleyville Land Trust!!! Coast Central cares about McKinleyville. Let’s keep the damn dogs off the trails this time okay? They have lots of other options. Keep this trail for humans only. Enough dog crap everywhere.
