Get Ready For That Familiar Weather Pattern

Union Staff Report

HUMBOLDT – Today will be sunny, Friday will be partly sunny and then over the weekend we’ll experience a familiar early summer weather pattern: fog, sun, fog, sun, fog, sun.

Today will be much like yesterday, beautiful sunshine with winds kicking up in the afternoon. Winds will be at 8 to 16 mph, with gusts up to 21 mph. Friday will be partly sunny with a light wind.

Late at night, there will be clouds and fog, with a 20 percent chance of showers Saturday morning. That means it probably won’t rain, but it might. The day will be mostly cloudy, according to the National Weather Service.

Then the familiar pattern begins on Sunday and continues through at least Tuesday – fog in the morning, partly sunny in the afternoon, with high temperatures at about 62 on the coast. This is the same old, same old for this time of year.

Sunset tonight is at 8:39 p.m. Sunrise on Friday is at 5:48 a.m., so there is plenty of daylight to go out and explore our Humboldt County paradise.
