The First Amendment reads: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.” Thomas Jefferson in writing about the First Amendment said that the Amendment insured
“a wall of separation between church and state.”
Separation of church and state is what sets us apart from countries like Iran, where there is no legal separation of church and state. This is one of the things that makes America exceptional.

Does he trust them all? I sure don’t. Some of them are perverts!

    Is it that dumb really?
If I was systematically selling off the county to my campaign donors, I’d probably throw out a divisive piece of red meat like this every so often to draw away the attention and energy of my opponents.

Fascist fucking morons. I will support a huge lawsuit immediately. That motto was adopted by the government of the McCarthy-fear-fueled era to root out “communists” and was completely unConstitutional (it clearly violates the separation of church and state). We are not all god-hobbled mythologists; some of us believe in reality, which is what our government SHOULD believe in. This will NOT be welcoming to all citizens of this county. We have to get rid of these brain-dead religionists from our governments and from the planet altogether. Bohn: You are an absolutely brain-dead moron and you’re going to instigate another lawsuit which the county WILL lose, costing the county’s citizens millions of dollars.

I’m not a lawyer, but I believe that ordinance would be unconstitutional. Don’t we have better things to spend our time and money on?
