Join the City of Arcata in getting the Bayside Park Community Garden pathways ready for this winter’s rains.
Join your fellow community members anytime on Monday, October 14 through Friday, October 18 from 1 to 7 p.m.
Volunteers will reinforce walkways throughout the garden with cardboard and wood chips in an effort to keep the garden easily accessible and structurally sound during wet weather.
This is an open event and everyone is welcome to participate as their schedules allow, rain or shine. Bring clothing you don’t mind getting dirty and spread the word to all. The more the merrier! Tools, materials and free snacks will be provided, but the garden could always use more cardboard. Join in for this great opportunity to come together and contribute to the continued growth and development of the Bayside Park Community Garden, 930 Old Arcata Road.
This work event is made possible in part by a grant from the Humboldt Area Foundation. Contact the Arcata Recreation Division at (707) 822-7091 for more information or visit www.cityofarcata.org/rec.
