1999 Boys Soccer Team to be inducted into Hall of Fame

McKINLEYVILLE – McKinleyville High School is pleased to announce its Hall of Fame Inductee for 2014 – the 1999 Boys’ Soccer Team.

The 1999 team was the first Big 5 Conference champion in school history. Coached by Iain MacDonald, the 1999 team finished the season with a 17-1-1 record with their only loss coming in the second round of the North Coast Section playoffs. The ’99 Panthers dominated Big 5 Conference play with a 13-0-1 record, outscoring their opponents 71-3. For the regular season, McKinleyville outscored the opposition 105-3.

The 1999 Soccer team will be honored at the Hall of Fame Reception on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. in the school’s multi-purpose room.

In addition, the team will serve as the Grand Marshals for the Homecoming Parade on Friday, Oct. 3 at noon and will be introduced prior to the start of the Varsity Football game at 7 p.m.  McKinleyville High School extends a warm welcome to all in the community to come and support this deserving group of athletes.
