Streets packed for today’s Women’s March on Eureka

UPDATE (9:27 p.m.) Crowd estimate at 4,000+

Thousands turned out this afternoon in Eureka for the Women's March on Eureka, a response to yesterday's swearing-in of Donald J. Trump as the President of the United States. Eureka Police Chief Andy Mills estimated the crowd at 2,000 to 3,000, although he said that was a rough estimate and difficult to determine.

Organizer Nancy Stephenson said it was the largest protest ever in Eureka, which is how it looked to many observers and seasoned reporters.
