Bayside Community Hall press release
Bayside Hall Launches Renovation Fund Drive
On Saturday, July 14, volunteers, board members, and a steady stream of “yard salers” showed up for the Bayside Community Hall parking lot sale.
Co-chairs for the Hall’s 2018 Fund Drive, Hall Board of Directors President Maggie Gainer, longtime volunteer and supporter Bill Thompson and Third District Supervisor Mike Wilson, were on hand for this opening event of the Hall’s Fund Drive.
With a $60,000 goal, the six-month drive will support several projects in the historic community center, most importantly, a new roof and a major kitchen upgrade. The Hall has long been an active Humboldt hub
for dances, music concerts, public meetings, school and nonprofit organization fundraisers, weddings and celebrations of life. Your support of the Hall is an investment in the community.
On Sunday, July 29, the public is invited to the quarterly Breakfast in Bayside from 8 a.m. till noon. Trombones @ Four will entertain on stage and mimosas and locally sources special breakfast beverages will be introduced to “Raise a Glass to Raise the Roof.” Check out the book sale and initial repairs and improvements in the building.
